Highlights of 2009
I just noticed that I had not posted a blog since May of 2009. My apologies to those of you who thought I had abandoned you and the cause of freedom, but, please know that I have not. In fact, when I’m not working 8-10 hours a day as a business consultant, I am talking to anyone who is willing to listen about my plan to restore freedom to all American citizens….. and I am winning hearts and minds one person at a time.
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of 2009.
I chartered the American Citizen Party in the State of Texas on February 26th.

To begin getting the word out about the American Citizen Party, I attended my first Tea Party event in Houston, Texas on April 15th.

The second Houston Tea Party was held on July 3rd, and I was there.

July 10th marked my first public speaking engagement, a luncheon sponsored by the Houston Property Rights Association. I gave a 25 minute presentation, followed by a 30 minute question and answer period. All-in-all, I think I held my own as I was peppered with questions from the left and the right.

On July 15th, I underwent scheduled back surgery and was out of commission for a few weeks while I recuperated at home.

I am now on a physical therapy regimen and am healing nicely.
During recuperation, I decided to stop shaving, just to see what I looked like, since I hadn’t let my facial hair grow for over ten years.

My beard started out a little scruffy-looking, but began to fill in over time.

At 60 years old, I had no idea how white my hair had become.
Since I was working from home and didn’t have any face-to-face client meetings, I decided to have some fun.
First, I completely shaved my head, but left some interesting sideburns and a goatee.

I attended the “Stand Up For Texas” rally at the state capitol in Austin on September 5th.

….and also worked in a visit with Mom.

Back in Houston, I attended my friend “Z’s” accordion recital (that’s Z in the middle).

Then, off came the sideburns for another different look…..

The following week, it was back to work, which sometimes requires me to travel.

I don’t really mind the travel. I get to see some of the most beautiful…….

and, odd, things wherever I go.

When I returned to Houston, I took the goatee down to a Fu Manchu moustache with a “soul patch”……

In October, I trimmed the moustache and attended the “Can You Hear Us Now” rally in Houston.

On November 17th, I was invited to speak about the American Citizen Party at a Lions Club luncheon in downtown Houston. This presentation was captured on video and the raw footage is currently being edited. Look for the video link on this website soon.

From November on, time just seemed to fly, and the next thing I knew it was Christmas.

Over the last year, I have talked to literally thousands of average Americans who are angry and frustrated with the Democrats and Republicans and their failure to solve any of the problems facing our country. This “perfect political storm” gives the American Citizen Party, with its plan to restore freedom to all American citizens, a unique opportunity to recruit and elect candidates to replace a significant number of incumbent politicians, beginning with the 2010 election.
With a number of filing deadlines approaching and the primary season looming, it is time to take action…precinct by precinct… state by state.
Look for future blogs in which I will begin laying out the tactics and strategies we will use to change the course of our nation.
Stay tuned.
Please accept my best wishes for a Happy New Year!
